涅槃，是什麼？ 彼岸，又在哪裡？
在聖嚴法師告別人間十年後，留給我們的生命課題，依然默默在花開花落中，持續轉化著……。法師留下的〈末後偈〉像是一則公案，仍在探問著我們如何觀生觀死。
而這張專輯就如同一份準備已久的禮物，希望透過音聲供養，將無盡感謝獻給啟發我們慧命的大善知識與無量眾生。聖嚴法師一生與觀音因緣深厚，常勉勵大眾念觀音、求觀音、學觀音、做觀音，從觀音法門自度度他，以平等廣大的觀音精神「大悲心起」，無事中大做夢中佛事，並成就法鼓山此一觀音道場，以各種善巧接引學人找回自家心地，而能於無常人世間觀世自在、心無罣礙！雖然法師人身已杳，然大願當空，悲心長留。因此，期以大悲觀音做為此次專輯概念的主題。
