James W. Gair美國康乃爾大學(Cornell University)語言學系榮譽退休教授。W.S. Karunatillake,斯里蘭卡凱拉尼亞大學(Kelaniya University)語言學系教授。兩人自1965年便共同合作研究錫蘭語和南亞語言,直到2012年Karunatillake教授去世為止。
